The Brooklyn Nets have cleared Ben Simmons to resume contact work.

Simmons participated in 4-on-4 work on Monday and Steve Nash indicated that he came through it well.

The Nets have become optimistic that Simmons will be able to play in the first round against the Boston Celtics.
