The proposed three-team trade between the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers and Washington Wizards centered on Kristaps Porzingis and Malcom Brogdon has fallen apart, sources tell Adrian Wojnarowksi.

Porzingis was going to opt-in to his $36 million contract as part of the trade to the Celtics. Boston was also going to send out Danilo Gallinari.

The Clippers were going to send out Marcus Morris, Amir Coffey and No. 30 pick to the Wizards while acquiring Brogdon. The Clippers have long had a need at point guard during the Kawhi Leonard-Paul George era. But sources tell Marc Stein of Substack that the Clippers had concerns over Brogdon's injury status.

The Wizards and Celtics are still working on ways to get Porzingis to Boston, but it won't be as part of a three-way with the Clippers. Porzingis could decline his option to become a free agent.
