The Dallas Mavericks are widely expected to sign Andre Drummond at the start of free agency, multiple rival teams have told Marc Stein of Substack.

Drummond is expected to decline his $3.36 million player option with the Chicago Bulls.

At center this offseason, the Mavericks have also acquired Richaun Holmes via trade and Dereck Lively II via the draft.

JaVale McGee and Christian Wood are out of their plans. Stein adds that signing Drummond is dependent on a trade that has yet to be agreed upon, presumably involving McGee.
