The Detroit Pistons signed guard Zavier Simpson. Simpson will likely be routed to the Motor City Cruise of the G League following the NBA preseason.

Simpson played in 50 games for the Lakeland Magic of the G League last season. The 6-foot point guard averaged 17.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 1.7 steals per game for Lakeland.
