Chris Webber and Penny Hardaway did it in 1993 when they exchanged Magic and Warriors hats.

Vince Carter and Antwan Jamison did it in 1998 when they exchanged Raptors and Warriors hats.

And it is looking very likely that two North Carolina teammates will be swapping hats again on Tuesday night.

- The Bobcats are actively courting the Hawks for the second pick in the draft and are dangling their two lottery picks, which will be hard for Billy Knight to pass up considering he already has a wealth of small forwards.

A deal that is contingent on Andrew Bogut being drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks appears to be in place where the Hawks will send the rights to Marvin Williams to the Bobcats in exchange for the rights to Raymond Felton at five and their favorite available power forward at thirteen.

- The Lakers are also frantically trying to move up because they don?t want to miss out on the point guards of this season?s holy trinity.  Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Raymond Felton are perceived by the Lakers as a point guard that they could insert beside Kobe Bryant and their backcourt would be immediately be set for the next 7-10 seasons while they try to piece their frontcourt back together.

Portland is the likely trade partner because there isn?t a pick that they can get at three that would help them more than what they can get at ten.  Either Martell Webster, Gerald Green or Andrew Bynum will be available at the Lakers? slot and whatever John Nash can bait the Lakers to give him between now and then to entice him to swap will surely allow him to build a better club.

Nash has become so enthralled with all three of these players that if all potential trade partners all of a sudden stopped fielding his calls, then he would draft one of the high schoolers at three and then call it a night and be rather content.

- The Nuggets have become the sneakiest team in this year's draft.  Since they hold both the 20th and 22nd pick of the draft, everything that happens in the unpredictable final third of the first round pivots on what they decide to do.

However, Denver is not counting on finding that shooting guard they desire via free agency, so with the two picks, they could sneak into last part of the lottery and pick up the Clippers' number twelve pick, which would yield Martell Webster or Antoine Wright.

- Luther Head has become a surprise pick to crack the top-30.  When I spoke with Ryan Blake a few days ago to discuss this year?s crop, Head was one player he singled out as a prospect that would be an absolute steal in the second round and would become an instant candidate for the Gilbert Arenas Award.

Joe Dumars will not let him get past his pick at 26.  Head possesses all the same qualities that made the Pistons? GM one of the finest players of the 80?s and 90?s.  Head worked out for the Pistons on Saturday, solidifying what a source had previously told me about the team's interest in the Illinois product.
