This weekend I ventured over to my local mall and picked up a copy of 2K Sports? new NBA video game. Still a full-fledged supporter of my good old Playstation 2, I picked up the PS2 version of NBA 2K7 with the enigmatic Shaquille O?Neal on the cover and rushed home to try it out. After playing the game for the better part of the weekend I couldn?t believe how realistic 2K Sports had made the game.

Here are some of the amazingly real things I found in NBA 2K7. Oh, you should probably know that I was heavily medicated on Tylenol and NyQuil most of the weekend due to a severe head cold?

-Vince Carter whines following every missed shot

-Dwyane Wade is fouled every time he touches the ball

-Allen Iverson hits the floor at least 26 times a game

-Cover-man Shaquille O?Neal has to weigh at least 500 pounds

-Sam Cassell trash talks through your television screen

-Jermaine O?Neal?s authentic free throw routine makes each attempt 13.5 seconds long

-It costs extra to play as the high-payroll Knicks

-Craig Sager?s fashion is worse in real-life, but they made a good attempt

-LeBron James is the best player in the game, whether we?re talking virtual or reality

-NBA Live should be compared to 2K7 the way the NBDL is to the NBA

-Ron Artest has the special ability of jumping into the stands

-If you play as the Lakers you?re inclined to try and score 81 points with Kobe every time

-Dirk Nowitzki yells at Erick Dampier following every Maverick playoff loss

-Jamaal Tinsley was injured in the first game I played as the Pacers, no joke

-Peja Stojakovic shoots from behind his head ? the game?s that realistic

-Adam Morrison looks even more like a porn star

-Brandon Roy is still the best rookie

-Apparently I?m missing a lot playing it on PS2, the Xbox 360 version is ?god-like?

-If playing season mode as Indiana, I advise you not to ?shoot around? with Stephen Jackson ? I lost a part of my leg.

-Mark Cuban gets fined by David Stern after every Dallas game

-Kobe Bryant will only play defense if you call him ?Mamba?

-Celtics coach Doc Rivers was packing his bags while I was playing in Boston?

-When Chris Webber shoots from three-point land it looks more like a pass

-The Warriors have promise?until you play as them

-Carmelo has a tiny of version of George Karl on his shoulder during all defensive sequences.

-Don Nelson was seen choking Mark Cuban during a Dallas home game

-Keith Van Horn was in the stands with his family during a Nets game

-I simulated a season and the new look Chicago Bulls won the title?

Excluding the last event I think the game is pretty realistic. Next year they?ll have to add controversial news conferences and then the NBA could be enjoyed at the flick of a finger?
