The NBA playoffs are in full swing, but half of the league is focused on something other than the Larry O'Brien trophy. The draft lottery will be held May 19 in Secaucus, New Jersey, which will officially kick off NBA Draft season, but we prefer to get things going early here at RealGM.

Executive Editor Christopher Reina compiles one of the most respected mock drafts on the internet each spring, and has updated his 2009 mock several times already.

We will be calculating a consensus NBA draft ranking list often in the two months leading up to the big night on June 25 in New York City.

To start things off we are including three of our favorite mocks in addition to Reina's, from DraftExpress.com, NBADraft.net and ESPN.com.

I did something very similar in the weeks leading up to the NFL Draft, and it was a good barometer of how things turned out this past weekend: Who Soared And Who Plummeted?

We calculate our consensus ranking list differently than most, awarding players with "points" each time they are slotted at a given slot in a mock. For example, Chris Reina has Blake Griffin as the first pick in his latest mock, which means we'll give the former Oklahoma stud 30 points.

Ricky Rubio shows up second, so he'll receive 29 points. Arizona power forward Jordan Hill takes the third spot, meaning he'll earn 28 points ... and so on.

Editor's Note: The official draft order will not be known until the lottery is held on May 19.
