The 2010 NBA Draft class is decidedly top-heavy with major projects and low impact role players comprising everyone outside of the top-six. The workouts and measurements will be even greater determining factors than usual because there is more differing opinion on how to rate the players outside of the top 10 or 12 than in a usual draft.

Over the past few months I have been able to see each of the following 100 players extensively on tape, leading to a fairly defined idea of their current level of play, translatable NBA ability and the level of development they are still capable of cultivating. Quite a few of the players below are underclassmen, which will mean that many will dwindle away as they stay in school.

For me, John Wall is the top overall prospect by a rather wide margin. Between his size, athleticism and preternatural abilities as a passer, he is the surest NBA prospect to come through the draft since the Greg Oden and Kevin Durant draft of 2007.

Behind Wall is his Kentucky teammate DeMarcus Cousins, followed by Evan Turner and Derrick Favors in that order. These are the clear top-four, though Al-Farouq Aminu and Wes Johnson have demonstrated enough to be in a four tier (Wall having his own). The fifth tier comprises Ed Davis through to Greg Monroe, where the bottom falls out and there are a couple dozen guys that two dozen scouts could list in two dozen different ways.
