Though the West team defeated Jared Sullinger's East squad 107-104 Wednesday night in the McDonald's All American Basketball Game, Sullinger, a 6-9 Ohio State signee from nearby Northland (Columbus) finished with a game-high 22 points and seven rebounds.

Brandon Knight of Pine Crest (Fort Lauderdale) hit what turned out to be the winning three-pointer. The shot salvaged what had been a subpar night for Rivals.com's No. 1 player, as he went 3-for-11.

"Good players keep shooting," Knight said. "We wanted to give Harrison (Barnes) the ball off the screen because he had the hot hand, but they took that option away, so I took it upon myself to find the best shot."

Barnes, a North Carolina signee from Ames, Iowa, was the Most Valuable Player for the West with 18 points.

"The McDonald's is the biggest stage for high school basketball and to be able to perform as good as I did was a dream," Barnes said.
