Marcus Denmon Breaks Foot

Oct 6, 2012 11:43 AM

Marcus Denmon broke the fifth metatarsal in his right foot in Chalon-Elan's season opener.

Chalon head coach Gregor Beugnot spoke on Denmon's injury and fears it is worse than expected.

"It is on the side of the foot on a metatarsal," said Beugnot. "I hope he has not broken his foot. He may have moved a metatarsal, or there is something. I hope there will be examinations fast."

Denmon was drafted by the Spurs in 2012.

Spurs Continuing To Monitor Marcus Denmon

Oct 5, 2012 1:55 PM

Marcus Denmon is currently playing with French team Chalon-Elan, but is being monitored by the San Antonio Spurs.

"The Spurs also called last week," said Chalon coach Beugnot Gregor in Le Journal. "They are very sensitive to what is done with him. He is a real project for them. Marcus has already progressed in aggression, especially on pick and rolls. As a leader, it's starting to come. He begins to see the game, to focus on the weaknesses of the opponent. Over time, it will become natural. He still lacks that confidence."
