Yaxel Lendeborg suffered a left MCL sprain and left ankle sprain during Michigan's win over Arizona in the Final Four on Saturday night.
"I will be on that floor in that game," Lendeborg said of playing in Monday night's national title game against UConn.
Lendeborg finished with 11 points in just 14 minutes as he also picked up two early fouls.
Michigan trainer Chris Williams said that he was "very confident" that Lendeborg could play Monday and that the injury "presented" well.
Lendeborg added that he knows his role heading into Monday's game.
"I didn't feel much pain on the plant. So I mean ... when I play Monday, I'm going to be a corner 3-point shooter," said Lendeborg.
