the Cleveland Cavaliers are interested in speaking to Dallas Mavericks assistant Del Harris about their head coaching position. The Cavaliers have already spoken with Nuggets assistant John Lucas about the job after receiving permission to do so. Cleveland wants a coach with previous head coaching experience to replace Randy Wittman, who was fired at the end of the regular season after the Cavs went 30-52. The Cavaliers have apparantely become more and more impressed with Harris, who has been the Mavericks' defensive coordinator for little more than a year and who won 556 NBA games as a head coach with the Lakers, Bucks and Rockets.
