The Lakers' run through the playoffs isn't improving the NBA's bottom line, according to an article in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.  Every conference final game that doesn't get paid represents a loss of at least $5 million to the league.  The Lakers may have cost the league over $20M in lost revenues.  Also, there's concern the Lakers' blowouts will result in smaller audiences for the fewer games that are played.  The other side of the coin is that people will tune in to see an amazing performance, like they tuned in for Tiger Woods' romp in last year's U.S. Open at Pebble Beach.
