According to Allan Houston's agent Bill Strickland, there are candidates like New York and "less desired scenarios, Detroit is one of those possibilities."

Marc Berman of the NY Post writes that the heat is on Knicks GM Scott Layden to make something happen this summer. Losing Houston to Detroit for nothing won't exactly impress anyone.

On a sidenote, the acquisition of Houston could allow the Pistons to move Jerry Stackhouse and his modest contract (slightly over $5M per season) to the highest bidder. Given that Stackhouse's trade value is the highest it's ever been, expect some major movement from Detroit this summer.
