Four of the five starters penciled in. All that remains is filling that big hole in the middle. The Nets hope to fill it with Todd MacCulloch or Nazr Mohammed.
The New York Post reports that MacCulloch may be leaning toward a return to the Sixers. But Philly could be cash-strapped with the signing of Dikembe Mutombo and the desire to re-sign Aaron McKie. So the Nets no doubt will make an offer to MacCulloch and keep their fingers crossed.
Michael Higgins, the agent for Mohammed said, "Nazr is weighing all his options. He's not narrowing anything down but he'll go home and start making his decision."
The Nets also plan to speak with former Sonics forward Jelani McCoy and Phoenix free agent Daniel Santiago.
