Johnny Ludden of the San Antonio Express News writes that the Spurs will look a lot different from last year's team.  Losing Anderson, Elliott and Johnson, and adding Smith, Bowen, and Bryant changes its character, hopefully for the better.  Ludden also reports that Seattle had made an offer of Payton for Malik Rose, Tony Parker and Antonio Daniels.  And San Antonio passed.
