Stephen F. Holder of the Miami Herald reports: With training camp three weeks away, the Heat has turned its attention to increasing its depth in the post, an effort that might lead to the signing of former University of Michigan standout Eric Riley.
Agent Lamar Holt has been in regular contact with Heat general manager Randy Pfund about the 6-11, 265-pound Riley.
Holt said Pfund has expressed serious interest in his client and added that members of the Heat's management team recently traveled to Houston to watch Riley work out, and later flew Riley to Miami for another workout.
Riley played last season in the ABA.
