Glover finally finishes practice
Stripping the tape from his ankles, Dion Glover looked up and grinned. "I was nervous the whole practice," he said. "I kept thinking, 'Oh, no, I can't let anything happen and spoil this.'"
This was the opening practice of training camp for the Hawks, and it was made notable by Glover's participation from start to finish.
"I'm going to congratulate him," general manager Pete Babcock said. And he was serious as he strolled over to Glover's side of the court.
Missing jersey
The mystery of Alan Henderson's missing jersey continues. Henderson, the senior Hawk in terms of service, wore a blank uniform top to media day Monday when even the four non-contract players were decked out with names and numbers.
Henderson's No. 44 jersey was stolen from the chair at his locker while the other 16 that were set out went untouched. Equipment manager Tom Smith said two balls also were missing.
