Boston signed Chris Herren when Randy Brown came down injured.  However, he Boston Herald's Steve Bulpett reports that only a small amount of Herren's contract is guaranteed, and there's a good chance Herren won't make the team.  Kenny Anderson has come into training camp in the best condition of his Celtic career, and Milt Palacio appears much improved.

Enter Joseph Forte.  The rookie has a guaranteed contract, and coach Jim O'Brien says his play has been "really, really solid."  All of which means the Celtics will have no need to keep Herren in their 15th roster spot.
