Thursday, October 11, 2001 - If the Denver Nuggets had to name a final roster Wednesday, coach Dan Issel said rookie center Menk Batere would have earned one of the 12 spots. But because of a prior commitment in China next month, Menk wouldn't be able to join the Nuggets until December. That means the NBA team could enter the regular season with only 11 players on its active roster.
