With 17 days to go until opening night, a clearer picture of the Lakers' rotation is beginning to emerge, and it could include Robert Horry as the starting power forward and Slava Medvedenko as the backup center.
Horace Grant's departure this summer essentially left holes at both of those slots and the rotation has been in flux since camp opened Sept. 29.

Samaki Walker was signed to replace Grant, but so far he hasn't done enough to convince coach Phil Jackson that he's the answer. Nor have camp invitees Jelani McCoy and Dickey Simpkins.
