Philadelphia 76ers coach Larry Brown has described his team's training camp as "a real total waste" because of the injuries that have kept four starters out of practices and preseason games.
Milwaukee Bucks coach George Karl recently questioned his team's toughness when five players missed part or all of a practice, and noted that superstar Ray Allen "joined the training-camp-is-too-hard, I-don't-want-to-be-on-the-court group."
It hasn't reached those extremes yet in Orlando, but Magic head coach Doc Rivers is growing exceedingly frustrated with injuries he feels have set the team behind." With three new starters on board, training camp and the exhibition games were deemed more important than ever for the Magic. But the starting five of Tracy McGrady, Grant Hill, Patrick Ewing, Horace Grant and Darrell Armstrong has been on the floor together for just 1 games.
