Moses Malone might not get a fancy title, but he'll likely spend valuable time with the Mavericks this season.
"As far as we're concerned, he probably is," Mavericks coach Don Nelson said Saturday before the Mavericks took on the Denver Nuggets in their second-to-last preseason game. "It would be part-time this year."
The point is, Malone, a Hall of Famer, is going to bring his unique brand of tutelage to the aspiring Mavs, like assistant coaches Del Harris and Sidney Moncrief have in improving areas such as team defense.
Malone's No. 1 duty?
