Sunday, October 21, 2001 - The Denver Nuggets began work on "tightening up" their regular rotation in a 94-88 exhibition game loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night. Today, they're probably going to work on tightening up their roster.

With 19 players still in camp, Nuggets coach Dan Issel on Saturday said he probably has seen enough in five preseason games to know who he wants to take into the regular season.

"Yeah, we're going to have to get down to a more manageable number," Issel said. "We'll probably make a couple of cuts (today)."
