Thursday, October 25, 2001 - Isaiah Rider and James Posey each scored 16 points as the Denver Nuggets snapped a three-game, preseason losing streak Wednesday night with an 89-75 victory over the Chicago Bulls at the Pepsi Center.

It was the type of balanced scoring and relentless defense Nuggets coach Dan Issel said his team will need to overcome the absence of forward Antonio McDyess, who will be out until February with a knee injury.

"Isaiah's getting better and better, stronger and stronger," Issel said. "The way he's playing, he can pick up some of the scoring lost by McDyess' absence. But we're going to have to have all those people take up the slack."
