Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports: The Heat has spoken to the agent for SF Derrick McKey, who was cut by the Pacers on Monday, but Miami's interest appears limited. ``There has been some communication, but nothing is imminent,'' Heat GM Randy Pfund said.

Philadelphia coach Larry Brown said he's interested in the 6-10 McKey, a skilled defender.

Miami has maintained casual contact with unsigned SF Scott Burrell, but coach Pat Riley said he has no plans to sign any more free agents. The Heat has explored trades for a small forward, but doesn't expect to make a deal anytime soon.
