MAGIC UPDATE: This is the start of a five-game Western trip that will take Orlando through Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Denver and Minneapolis. The Magic will stick with Hunter, a rookie, as the starting center, deciding they will live with his mistakes. Pat Garrity said Saturday that his sprained left knee is fine, and he expects no problem against the Lakers tonight. He only played five minutes Friday night in a victory against Sacramento.

LAKERS UPDATE: They remain unbeaten after stomping Memphis on Friday night. Bryant and O'Neal clearly are the best one-two punch in the NBA.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: See how quickly O'Neal gets Hunter into foul trouble. The Magic may start power forward Horace Grant against O'Neal, but Hunter surely will have problems just trying to help out.

ETC.: The Magic considered leaving Orlando after Friday night's game but instead waited until after practice Saturday to travel to Los Angeles. They will have very little practice time on this trip, because four of the games are in back-to-back sets.
