Jerome Williams brings a unique brand of energy to the basketball court, histrionics that can wear a little thin every now and then.
But his coaches and teammates can put up with the woofing and hollering if Williams continues to give the Toronto Raptors almost five rebounds and seven points a night in a backup role.
That's what the Raps got back last night when Williams returned from a five-game stint on the injured list, replaced in inactive duty by rookie Michael Bradley, who came down with a bruised right clavicle overnight, according to a team news bulletin.
"Jerome was playing really well before he got hurt, he brings a couple of dimensions to the team," said coach Lenny Wilkens.
And although the Raptors fell short of rallying to beat the Milwaukee Bucks last night, Williams was up to his old tricks, with 10 points and eight rebounds in a solid 23 minutes of work.
