Q: I heard you on WQAM say, "Who are we to stop Alonzo Mourning from attempting his comeback?" I disagree. This is not about Alonzo Mourning, this is about the Miami Heat. He's on the active roster, yet he's day-to-day. Don't you think this is selfish? Isn't this putting Pat Riley behind the eight ball EVERY game? Andrew Sapperstein, Pembroke Pines, FL

A: I don't see how anyone willing to push his body through disease could be considered selfish. Now foolish might be another story, considering the health risk. The bottom line is there is no one of Zo's ability to take Zo's place. In essence, every chance the Heat gets to use Zo, it is only for the better. Yes, his situation does create uncertainty, but that hardly is his fault. Selfish would be to stay at home and collect his salary without making the effort.
