LOS ANGELES ? Phil Jackson joked about unveiling his own "Hack-A-Bradley" strategy. Shaquille O'Neal dismissed questions about Mavericks owner Mark Cuban by saying he doesn't talk about "little lottery winners."
Jokes and barbs came easiest Tuesday for the Los Angeles Lakers, compared to trying to guess what the Mavericks might do in Wednesday's game.
The Lakers, as always, are expecting unusual gimmicks from Don Nelson at Staples Center, but they're not exactly sure what that entails. It could be another round of intentionally fouling O'Neal, a Nelson specialty, or maybe more of the occasional pressing defense the Mavericks introduced in their two victories to start this road trip, at Golden State and Sacramento.
