America has been good to Stewart Thompson since he moved from England to Orlando three years ago.
Thompson wants to do something good for Americans now -- with a little help from his friends.
Thompson plans to donate $10,000 to The September 11th Fund -- through the United Way to benefit families of the firemen and policemen who lost their lives in the World Trade Center disaster -- if he can finish selling the rest of the tickets he is holding for the Orlando Magic's Dec. 21 game against the Washington Wizards.
Thompson bought 1,000 tickets -- of the $24 and $31 variety -- for the first appearance this season of Michael Jordan in Orlando, and he expects to parlay them into a sizable charitable donation.
He has added $10 to the price of each ticket, and all of the money collected above face value will be part of the donation.
