MRI results on Glen Rice's sore right knee have delivered bad news, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.  There is some fraying where the tendon attaches to the kneecap, which has team physician Walter Lowe concerned.  Rice will have to walk on crutches for a week to ten days.  When the swelling subsides, they can make a decision as to whether rest and rehabilitation will do it, whether arthroscopic surgery is needed, or if the tendon will need to be surgically repaired.  If the last option is taken, Rice could miss most of the season.

Rice has not been moved to the injured list because those seats are already occupied by Maurice Taylor, Steve Francis and Jason Collier.  Collier would be the first to return, but his shin-splints are still a concern.
