DALLAS - The Mavericks put a saddle on Steve Nash's back and rode him to the winner's circle.

Nash tallied a career-high 39 points and dispensed seven assists as the Mavericks snapped a three-game losing streak by holding off the Portland Trail Blazers down the stretch for a 105-103 victory before 17,029 Tuesday night at American Airlines Center. It was a much-needed victory for a Mavericks squad that squandered recent games against the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington and Utah.
