There was a point in the third quarter Wednesday night when it took the Timberwolves six misses, six offensive rebounds and two out-of-bounds plays to score.
In one possession.

That span of 1 minute, 40 seconds -- punctuated by a Terrell Brandon 19-footer that gave the Wolves a 12-point lead -- pretty much summed up the third quarter, in which Minnesota outrebounded, outhustled and outscored the Jazz 31-13.

It summed up Minnesota's 98-87 victory, its fifth consecutive victory by a double-digit margin.

"How the game was, the energy we had was shown by that one possession," Wolves coach Flip Saunders said. "Like one of our guys said, "It's like in football, where you can't get the defense off the field.'
