Kevin Garnett wanted the ball. So he chased it to the far corner. He grabbed it as it caromed off the rim. He stretched as it nearly sailed out of his reach. He beat opponents to it on both ends of the floor.
Over and over the Timberwolves forward got his way -- grabbing a career- and franchise-record 24 rebounds by the end of Minnesota's come-from-behind 114-94 blowout of the Sacramento Kings on Friday night at Target Center. The Wolves have won six straight games, all by double-digit margins. They have also won eight in a row against the Kings at Target Center.
"There were times when I just saw the openings to get the ball," said Garnett, who also led the Wolves with 29 points. "There were times where I just wanted it more."
