Raptors guard Vince Carter did his best Sgt. Schultz impression yesterday.
"I know nothing," Carter said when asked about the Indiana Pacers, who will play host to the Raptors tonight. "I know nothing.
"My TV's not working, so I can't watch TV. It has been a bad month already."
With Carter's TV broken, he clearly hasn't been watching any reruns of Hogan's Heroes, which featured Sgt. Schultz and his head-in-the-sand attitude.
Nonetheless, the Raptors are vowing that their heads are not in the sand when it comes to their four-game losing streak, which led to something of a public outcry during the past couple of days.
"I guess, yeah, I am a little surprised (by the fans' and the media's reaction), because we're only 24 games into the season," Raptors coach Lenny Wilkens said. "You know, last year we were 12-12, too.
"We still have a lot of work ahead of us. I never said, 'We have arrived.' We haven't. We're still working to become a good team and we will. But I can't let (outside opinions or reactions) bother me.
