Morris Peterson may have laid that second-option argument to rest for a little while.
Tying his career high with 29 points, Peterson sparked the Raptors to a 102-90 victory over the Indiana Pacers last night, snapping Toronto's losing skid at four games.
Plagued by inconsistency in recent outings that led to considerable debate as to whether he was the Raptors' second option on offence after Vince Carter, Peterson connected on 11 of 18 from the floor and was 5 of 6 from the free-throw line, including a crucial triple from the charity stripe with 40 seconds left to play that put Toronto ahead 98-90.
