Timberwolves guard Terrell Brandon has had his share of nicks and bruises throughout his career, but he knew it was something more than that with his left knee when he left practice last week.
In a phone interview Saturday, Brandon said the constant wear and tear on his knee finally has caught up with him.

"After practice (Monday) it just didn't feel right," he said. "Then when I got home, I couldn't bend my knee all the way. So I called and said I had to get an MRI done."

The 11-year veteran was placed on the injured list minutes before Tuesday's game against Dallas and had arthroscopic surgery thursday to remove a pea-size piece of cartilage from his knee.

He has begun rehabilitation and will be re-evaluated next week. A determination will be made then about how long he will be sidelined. Wolves coach Flip Saunders estimated before the surgery it would take two to three weeks for Brandon to recover.
