Antoine Walker had the dubious distinction of tallying a season low for points last night.
Perhaps the only thing that could have atoned for his 10-point performance was if somehow the team played at a higher level than he did.
But the Celtics followed his lead in an 89-66 loss to the Miami Heat, which snapped a seven-game FleetCenter win streak. The C's shot an abysmal 28.6 percent from the floor, connecting on just 22-of-77 shots against a Heat team that won just its seventh game of the season against 23 losses.
The Celtics co-captain knows last night was more the exception than the rule.
``We know we can play better,'' he said. ``We are not going to shoot the ball the way we shot the ball tonight on a consistent basis. Obviously, you don't want to lose a game like this at home. You are playing well and you want to be a dominant team so you hate to take a loss like this at home
