John Lucas used too heavy of a coaching hand when he verbally spanked his team after they came back to beat New York. The team played pretty well against the Knicks, and for whatever reason, they went in the tank in the next game at Chicago. Some of the players might say, ``The guy isn't happy when we win, he's not happy when we lose . . . ''

Lucas continues to impress us with his handling of Wes Person and Lamond Murray. Not even the most optimistic Cavs fan would have imagined them scoring so well and also playing hard most of the time.

The more I see Jumaine Jones, the more I believe General Manager Jim Paxson might have fleeced the Sixers. I liked Matt Harpring's hustle, but his injury history was a concern. Jones keeps getting better and better. And if the Cavs should decide to trade Murray (who has stirred up some interest from other teams), they can do so knowing they have Jones to play small forward.

Bimbo Coles has never looked the same since his knee surgery last year. The veteran guard appears slow and struggles to bring the ball up the court against pressure defenses.

Does anyone really believe Tyrone Hill will play this season? But had he been healthy, the Cavs might not have found out about Jones, who has taken those minutes at power forward and made the most of them.
