The Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen reports that Glen Rice has opted for surgery and likely will not play again this season. The patellar tendon in his right knee is 10 to 15% torn, according to team physician Dr. Walter Lowe. MRI results have shown no healing between the initial discovery of the injury and now. Rice has not played since December 8th. Dr. Lowe estimates rehabilitation after the surgery should take three or four months.
