The Jazz are never quite sure what"s going to happen when rookie Andrei Kirilenko steps on the court, but they usually like what they get.

That"s why he was selected by the NBA to participate in the rookie all-star game next month in Philadelphia.

""Andrei, when he gets in the game, stuff happens that is only good," Jazz assistant coach Gordon Chiesa said.

Kirilenko averages 9.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.7 blocked shots and 1.3 steals this year, helping bolster what is shaping up as one of the strongest benches in the NBA.

The Jazz host the Memphis Grizzlies at 7 tonight at the Delta Center.

He also has shown enough poise to be in the game in crucial moments. Like in Thursday"s victory over Houston, he grabbed a key rebound with eight seconds left and the Jazz holding a two-point lead.
