Heat guard Eddie Jones was named the Eastern Conference's player of the week a week ago today.

Since then, he has been held below double digits in two of the Heat's three games.
``I think I got myself frustrated [Saturday] night because I picked up two early fouls, and it took me right out of what I wanted to do,'' said Jones, who scored a season-low three points against the Suns in a 34-point Miami loss. ``I wanted to play aggressively, but as a player, you can't let that happen. I let that happen twice in the same week, and I was not able to attack the basket like I wanted to.''

It is uncharacteristic for Jones to experience two such games in such a short span. Despite shooting a career-low 41.8 percent from the floor, Jones has been Miami's most consistent scorer this season, averaging 18 points.

Jones made just one of five shot attempts against the Suns.

AN OPPORTUNITY

The Warriors' defense has been about as bad as Miami's shooting in recent weeks. Golden State has yielded 100 points or more in 13 of its past 16 games. During their current six-game losing streak, the Warriors have given up 100 points in all but one contest.

The one sub-100 game? Jan. 6 against Miami.

JAMISON HEATS UP

The Heat defense, which was not sharp against the Suns on Saturday, will be charged with stopping Warriors forward Antawn Jamison, who has been on a hot streak despite his team's struggles. Jamison is averaging 25.5 points over his last eight games, shooting 47 percent from the field. Jamison posted 31 points against the Heat in the team's meeting last week.
