In one of the toughest weeks for the Magic since Shaquille O'Neal left the organization via free agency in the summer of 1996, the Magic finally had something to smile about. Unfortunately for the Mavericks, it came at their expense.

Tracy McGrady poured in 26 points and Troy Hudson came off the bench to add 21 as the Magic made the Mavericks disappear into the rainy night, 113-87 before a Monday crowd of 13,237 at the TD Waterhouse Centre.

The setback ties for the second-worst of the season handed to the Mavericks, eclipsed only by the 37-point whipping they suffered to Houston on Nov. 17. The Mavericks (25-12) hope for a more productive showing when they play the Hawks in Atlanta at 6:30 tonight.
