Having wrestled with their own demons for stretches this season, the Toronto Raptors are not about to gloat about the misfortunes of others.

So it was impossible yesterday to find anyone connected with the team willing to kick a New York Knick team when it's down.

And a Knick team hasn't been this down in decades.

Slaughtered 111-68 by the Charlotte Hornets on Monday, the Knicks have lost eight straight (their longest losing streak since 1986), are 10 games below .500 and nowhere near a playoff spot and an uninspired 4-16 since Don Chaney took over when Jeff Van Gundy suddenly walked out on the team in December.

Somewhere, in their heart of hearts, the Raptors are quite gleeful that a long-time nemesis is going through such a wretched time but getting them to publicly admit it is impossible.
