As he does patiently and with great thought after every game, win or lose, whether he scores 30 points or three, Cliff Robinson stood before the cameras and microphones Monday and tried to make sense out of the Pistons.
"We are still struggling to find consistency," he said. "Until we find a way to be consistent at doing the things that make us good, we are going to continue to win a couple of games and lose a couple of games."
  What makes the Pistons good?
The main things are effort and intensity. When the Pistons play at a high emotional pitch, they usually put themselves in a position to win. When they don't, they usually get blown out of the gym.
And lately, the Pistons have been able to sustain great effort for about two quarters every game -- and that includes games they won against Indiana and Boston.
