Toronto: The Lourdes of the NBA.
Teams show up as losers, leave as winners.
Players come off their worst performances ever and all of sudden they're a combination of Magic and Larry and the old Michael Jordan.
One step on to the Air Canada Centre court miraculously turned the New York Knicks from the sorriest lot of NBA players this side of the Chicago Bulls into something akin to playoff contenders last night.
Throw in past miracles like the L.A. Clippers ending a four-game road losing streak here and unheralded players coming up with career nights and the gym's going to get a reputation as a place to go for broken teams.
And it's all thanks to those obliging Toronto Raptors, who suffered another collective brain cramp last night.
