For the New York Knicks, humiliation was replaced with redemption.
For the Raptors, last night's exercise proved to be yet another example of a blown opportunity at home.
With the Knicks reeling from their Monday massacre -- a 111-68 loss to the Charlotte Hornets -- the Raptors couldn't jump on the beleaguered guests.
"We played liked we didn't give a damn,'' the Raptors' Antonio Davis said. "It's like we never showed up. To not play with any heart is inexcusable.''
In the end, the Raptors couldn't stop Latrell Sprewell and they couldn't generate a key basket as New York escaped the soldout Air Canada Centre with a well-deserved 96-92 win.
