Tough call here.
Do you put Jerry Stackhouse or Ben Wallace, or both, on the Eastern Conference All-Star team?
Both deserve it. Stackhouse, a two-time All-Star, is among the league leaders in scoring and leads his position in assists. Wallace leads the league in blocks, is fourth in rebounding and is among the leaders in steals.
But when the All-Star reserves are announced Tuesday, there is a possibility each could be left off the team.
Part of it is because of the Pistons' struggles. A .500 basketball team might have one All-Star, but rarely two. The bigger problem is the glut of talent at their positions.
By vote of the fans, Dikembe Mutombo will start at center, Vince Carter and Antoine Walker at forward and Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson at guard.
Coaches then vote on seven reserves.
