A visit by the Sacramento Kings to Target Center generally has meant two things in recent years: enough scoring to test every bulb on the scoreboard and a Timberwolves victory.
Against the NBA's most prolific offense, the Wolves nonetheless had won eight meetings in a row at home. There was that memorable trouncing by 29 points last season, as well as a 20-point laugher in December.
Sure, everyone knew Sacramento was murder at Arco Arena, with its 25-1 mark. But plenty of opponents, the Wolves included, spoke almost dismissively of the Kings' mediocre road record (10-9 at tipoff Sunday). Guess what? The Kings won both on the road and at Target Center on Sunday, beating the Wolves 112-107.
